Kids can find anything, including a gun. #EndFamilyFire by ensuring all guns are stored locked, unloaded, and inaccessible to children. Safe storage saves lives.

Last year, 124 #pedestrians were killed in traffic crashes on #Virginia roads. But roadways and crosswalks aren’t the only place motorists need to stay alert. Please slow down and watch out for pedestrians in parking lots.

We are dismayed to report that the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) system issue which affected our operations yesterday is back. #VirginiaDMV offices are unable to process driver's license & REAL ID transactions. We are working w/ VITA, which provides our IT services, to address the problem. (1/2)

Each of these people have active warrants in the City of Newport News. Know where they are? Call the Crime Line 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887) and #NNPD will come pick them up. You could earn some spending money and remain anonymous

I took this photo recently for exactly this reason. (Image cropped to protect the truly innocent.) It looks like this is a bunched group. In reality, everyone in this photo was 6-10 feet apart. I took it from more than 150 feet away, zoomed in at the equivalent of 300mm. 2/x

The vast majority of stolen vehicles occur as a result of vehicles left running unattended. Criminals use stolen cars to commit other crimes. Don't help them out by leaving your car for them to use!
