Guys if the Bears ACTUALLY were a major tourism driver you’d see higher hotel tax collections in the fall. You don’t though. It’s decent but Q3 & Q4 always way better. We need more conventions and tourism. Not 9 weekends of (maybe) 1-2 night hotel stays for 20,000 NFL fans.

And FUN FACT! Chicago usually sees bumps in hotel attendance in Q4 of odd years because a handful of major manufacturing trade shows are here in those years.

THOSE shows move hotel tax revenue needle way more than games attended by fans who often day trip in from the suburbs.🙄
