Gen Z (in the US) earns a very nice and high income. Much higher than previous generations. So why aren't they swimming in money? They need to spend it all on stupendously expensive housing. Source: buff.ly/3UHVWHe

Big if, but if Susan Hall wins London, literally no other election last night will matter in the public consciousness.

Someone told me that because I live up north, I shouldn't concern myself with who wins the London Mayor election.

I say 1) That's MY capital city in MY country, and 2) Fuck right off because if I want to concern myself, I will. I'm patriotic, and no one will take that from me.

The article tells you all. She earns ยฃ34k, can't budget, thinks nothing of buying ยฃ5 coffees, but says overdraft and poverty are normal.

There is no good reason for London not to have counted its votes. None at all. The polls closed nearly 24 hours ago.

Awful. The ghastly bigot David Ward is back on Bradford Council.

He was kicked out of the Lib Dems for antisemitism. The local Lib Dems didn't contest the seat despite having held all three seats until recently.

We know why they didn't stand.

Lots of cyclists on here crying about photo ID being required for voting

Which is strange, considering 80% of cyclists allegedly posses a valid UK driving license

They must have all 'handed them back in'

The Bacon Viscount Toad KG ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Jacob Rees-Mogg As a National Trust member who has been going to Trust sites since I was a small child, no, I most definitely am not anti-Trust.
I am, like many members, appalled by the way in which the current management have deliberately been taking our beloved charity in the wrong direction.

The hoax about fossil fuel turned oil bumpkins into billionaires. Rockefeller used scarcity by naming oil 'fossil' fuel. Yet oil is the second largest volume of liquid on earth after water. There's so much of it, oil should be $5 a barrel. The climate hoax now uses that same lie.

My initial reaction was โ€œhere we go againโ€, but actually the premise of a very Anglicised detective of Caribbean heritage experiencing a culture clash is an interesting one. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/05/0โ€ฆ

This is completely ludicrous. These animals have well-established names in the English language which we have used for centuries. And every African language has different words for them anyway. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/05/0โ€ฆ
