Today, on Maud Lewis' birthday, Room One's yellow tulip opened! Thank you to Nutrients for Life for the bulbs! Room One learned about forcing bulbs by putting them in the fridge for 8 weeks!

Room One learned about Henervic Farms, specifically their soy bean production, with Agriculture in the Classroom-Manitoba 's Follow the Farmer series!! We learned that the farm rotates wheat, canola, corn, and soy beans! About 8.3 BILLION soy bean seeds a year!

Room One was so excited to welcome Assistant Deputy Minister of the Industry Advancement Division for Manitoba Agriculture to teach us about watersheds for #CALM24! The Grade Threes learned so much!!

Students learned that a watershed is all the land that drains water to the same location! We were happy to have this presentation from #CALM24! Thank you to Mr. Bouvier for teaching us!!
