My 13-year-old stayed up late making this beautiful paper flower bouquet—I thought it was just a decoration. Turns out, it was a birthday gift! Then my 5-year-old handed me Nu 100 he’d been saving just for today. Feeling so blessed by their sweet gestures.

Even the langurs seem to wonder when Punatsangchhu-I will begin operations, as they perch on rocks, deep in discussion. #hydropower #Bhutan

Bhutan, under its 4th govt, has seen 6 bye-elections; the 7th set for Sept after MP Tashi Dorji’s conviction. Except for 1, which was required by the death of a MP, the rest were by resignations and convictions. Do these reflect democratic strength or flaws in political system?

Saddened to hear about the passing of Mancha Sherpa, the last surviving member of the 1953 Everest expedition. He was just 19 when he joined Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on their legendary climb. I had the rare honor of meeting and interviewing him in 2024. #Mounteverest
