14 households attended the Christmas Clean Up around the parish this morning, with mince pies & mulled wine / hot chocolate to celebrate afterwards. The waste has been bagged and left at the location agreed with North Northamptonshire Council for collection. A big thank you to all who took part

The Parish Council has successfully nominated the #chelveston Village Hall for re-listing as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) by North Northamptonshire Council. The listing lasts for 5 years and helps preserve the building for the community.

Martin King Construction Ltd, the developer at Chelston Rise, has generously funded a supply connection to the old bus shelter, so as to enable a heated defibrillator cabinet to be installed. The Parish Council is now arranging for the installation of the cabinet.

Following a request from the Parish Council, North Northamptonshire Highways have erected "Unsuitable for HGVs" signs at the B645 end of Bidwell Lane, #Caldecott, due to the narrow width of the lane from Manor Farm down to the B645.

The third defibrator has been installed by the Parish Council, so there is now one in each settlement. We thank the Foulger Trust for a grant towards the installation costs, & Martin King Construction Ltd (developer at Chelston Rise) generously funding a National Grid connection.

The Parish Council has purchased some colourful child size Hi Viz waistcoats for taking part in our litter pick events. These were part funded by a North Northamptonshire Council Member Empowerment Fund grant. Our next litter pick is on Saturday 19th April.

An Easter litter pick in the parish organised by our Environment team. Fast food wrappers, bottles, cans, packets, a shock absorber coil spring (!) and a wheel cover, all safely recovered from the verges. A big thank you to everyone who took part.

The 364th, 365th, 366th & 422nd Bombardment Squadron posts, along with the rest of the 305th Bombardment Group (Heavy) memorial in #chelveston have been repainted and regilded. The Parish Council was successful in getting grant funding to cover the costs. 305 AMW Mighty Eighth WWII

Residents can still respond to the proposed new CRE Park access road, as the application is being re-consulted to 21 June. The Parish Council objected to not all the information being made available during the first consultation. You don't need to resubmit any previous responses.

Cllr Andrew Seaman (for the Parish Council) and the Rev Louise Bishop (for the St John's PCC) presented a cheque for £1,000 to representatives of the Encompass foodbank this evening. The money was raised by the Chelveston Village Fete, organised jointly by the PCC and the Council

A kissing gate has been installed on footpath MM6 at its junction with Raunds Road, #Chelveston, replacing the stile that was causing access problems for those with shorter legs! Thank you to the landowner and North Northamptonshire Highways
