Fantastic meeting today where we heard about improving #MentalHealth nurse curricula when MH nurse academics have autonomy to develop their ideas, but still there are universities which have ZERO mental health focused modules for mental health nursing students. #MHDeservesBetter

I’m exactly where I need to be today, on what would’ve been my graduation day. I’m right by your side, just like you’ve always been by mine. I love you Dad. Get better so we can be side by side when I eventually get to graduate 👩‍🎓❤️

Welcome Home Daddy. Thank you to all the staff at Ward 44 for the care and compassion you have shown to me, my Mum & Dad whilst he underwent his bone marrow transplant ❤️ his recovery starts now at home with his wife & children by his side.

After a long 3 years and 8 months, today I finally signed off my final hours to become a registered nurse. 2300 hours of theory and practice completed. I’m so ready for my next adventure! A huge thank you to team Redwood for making me feel so welcome and supporting me! ❤️

As mental health professionals, we don’t just give medication, we don’t just ‘do notes’. We are personalised care givers, we know our patients, we do anything we can to keep them safe, and we put our whole heart into our role - even if it means doing dances for our ladies ❤️

Now that I’ve finally finished university, I want to focus on enhancing student experiences on placement. Any past, present or future students want to give me some feedback of your placement experiences, what you would like to improve and what is helpful?

Chelsea, be brilliant every day. A good mental health nurse is precious and makes a huge difference to patients and the team. Be wonderful. I will never forget the thrill of the first time I answered the phone and said, ‘Claire Murdoch, Staff nurse. How can I help’.

Today we said goodbye to our Charlotte Hammond. You may have only been with us a short time, but you have truly been amazing. A personal thank you from me, for helping me through a challenging few months. I for one, will miss you immensely. Salford are lucky to have you!
