Thread on foreign policy/ODA in budget. In brief: fairly slim pickings. No huge announcements. Slight increase in ODA in 24/25 to $4.96 billion (last budget said it would be $4.83 bil) But most noteworthy new investments are in Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺 itself– around $670 million over 9 years 1/

Totally agree Australia should be looking to its competitive advantages to help accelerate SEA's net zero transition. Rooftop solar is an obvious place to start.
