Today the Cheetahs for Change 🐆 group from CPA and Ecology Action Centre (EAC) filled my cup. We went to Sandy Lake to learn more about the natural resource that literally is in our backyard! What a great starting place to learn about the land.

Pt.1: This is the Willow tree that we planted earlier in the year. Surrounding the Willow tree are 139 rocks that represent all of the residential schools that were in Canada. Each rock has the number of children lost at each residential school. #TBT #everychildmatters

Pt.2: We invited Elder Albert Marshall, a residential school survivor, along with his daughter, to come and share their knowledge with us while we all gathered around the Willow tree. #openyourheartandyourfeetwillfollow #envisionthechange #makethechange

Souls Harbour is building housing shelters for the homeless in the South Shore and they need our help! 3 boxes are placed around the school: first floor: across from the cheetah spot second floor: room 228 third floor: room 320 You can keep showing your support up until Dec. 15!
