"Mother exposes true extent of sea sewage pollution." "E. coli levels from overflows in November were up to 760 times the threshold considered to be acceptable to public health". E. coli can be fatal. Well done to Bianca Carr my admiration 👏👏👏 thetimes.co.uk/article/mother…

Rishi Sunak continues to insist his government is acting 'fairly' on nurses pay What’s it’s doing is engaging in a shameless campaign of misinformation, outright lies & breathtaking dishonesty #IstandWithNurses

It is the scientific consensus that hundreds of millions if not billions of people will be forced to migrate due to climate change within the next few decades. A lot of those people will end up dying. The geopolitics of a billion climate migrants. Let that fucking sink in.

Tories cut public services and don't pay their own taxes. They lie and try and sue journalists for telling the truth. We should put this dirty corrupt party out of business forever at the next general election. #Zahawi #ToryCorruption thetimes.co.uk/article/47c40d…

The sewage is clearly in Westminster too. We need a general election now and to get rid of these environmental vandals.

Amusing that Admiral asked me to renew today after rejecting my claim because I could "anticipate needing the insurance" and have ignored my replies on the subject. I have been a customer for home, car and travel for a number of years. I'll pay more to use anyone else now.

If your local MP complains about their blue plaque remind them of this. Gov MPs voted to legalise the dumping of sewage into the environment; something that had been illegal since 1991. Did they not understand that or hadn't the Whips Office explained it to them?

For anyone reading Liz Truss's mea culpa in The Sunday The Telegraph today, the idea Truss states that Kwarteng and the Treasury had not been warned of the budget's risks to financial stability was NOT TRUE. /1

My name is Carl Palmer. I've returned home after twenty years abroad to find the son I abandoned in Catterick when he was just four-years-old. This is the story of that search

On #bbcqt Yasmin Alibhai-Brown points out “Stanley Johnson was a wife beater” Fiona Bruce helpfully explains “he broke his wife’s nose, she was hospitalised” “ it did happen, BUT it was a one off” What a defence - only occasional domestic violence 🤔

Over the last 3 years water companies on average have dumped sewage into the environment 983 times per day, that's 983 times each and every single day for 3 years. "Exceptional situations", anyone?

Feargal Sharkey (@feargal_sharkey) 's Twitter Profile Photo

"X" marks the spot. No rain, for weeks, certainly nothing that can be construed as an "exceptional situation", but here's where sewage is being dumped onto our beaches and into our rivers on the afternoon of 19th June 2023. The UK is a G7 member state.
