Summer sunshine creating great shadows in Chapel Cloister. There is such a timeless feel in these historic spaces, you can’t help imagining who might have stood there in the same spot as you 100 years ago and more! #historicplaces #SummerShadows #HistoricSpaces #HeritageSite

We all really enjoyed our annual Summer Garden Party for residents, staff, and Governors in July. It was a beautiful summer's evening and our Kitchen team created a wonderful buffet, the highlight of which was an amazing Pink Meadow dessert by chef Laura! #SummerGardenParty

A view towards Charterhouse Square, quite an unusual urban landscape for central London and not very far from the skyscrapers of the City! In the foreground is the grave of Sir Walter Manny, one of the founders of the medieval monastery that once stood on our site.

We spotted this rather jazzy looking pollinator - apparently a Milkweed bug - sunning itself on these gorgeous roses in Preacher's Court! #MilkweedBug #NaturePhotography #InsectWorld #GardenLife

After the Second World War, architects Seely & Paget with archaeologist W.F. Grimes and historian David Knowles established the layout of the medieval monastery at the Charterhouse. A recent discovery is that the foundation markers even run under the grass in Master’s Court!

We spotted a Garden tiger moth in Preacher's Court enjoying the Japanese Anemones. Not only are they beautiful but they are pollinators as well, and search for nectar like bees do but also at night! #GardenTigerMoth #Pollinators #WildlifePhotography #NatureLovers
