Due to Sparkle in the Park taking place in Charlton park this weekend, we may need to cancel parkrun on Saturday. We will make a decision by 3pm on Thursday, and if we still go ahead we will need many more volunteers to help out.

We’re very disappointed to say we are cancelling Charlton parkrun this week. Until the event was fully built in the park, we were unable to undertake our risk assessment, and equipment and tents have been built along the route which we weren’t expecting.

Don’t leave home tomorrow before 1st checking we will go ahead. We will make a final call by 8am to see if Storm Darragh has forced our hand to cancel or we can progress safely

We’re very sorry to say we’re having to cancel Charlton parkrun this morning. We have been up to the park this morning and we don’t think we can carry on safely, with the wind being too strong and branches having come off trees. Hope to see you all again next week!
