It took me almost as long to unpack this book as it took me to write it. But here it is in three dimensions! Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way and to the main protagonist Badr al-Din al-Ghazzi who made for excellent company.

I’m very partial, but scrolling through my sister’s drawings on Instagram might just be the best procrastinator in the world. Check her out and watch your deadlines slip peacefully by. instagram.com/p/Bfbbo8egzEi/…

Check out our nifty new digital exhibition, "Theatre of the World"! It uses Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) collections to explore the early history of world atlases, curated by my superb colleagues, Julie Cole and David McNeill. #maps #atlases rgs.org/about/our-coll…
