I wake early everyday, make a pot of coffee, then turn on the tv to get caught up on the news for the last 24 hours. It doesn’t matter what channel. It is usually predominantly bad news often with political overtones. Can at least 1 channel attempt to be positive? Depressing!

Age of coaches has little to do with ability to perform. You are there to evaluate, analyze, create, teach, and lead. You must be able to deal with players of great differences and get the best of each individual and the entire group. Trust & respect must be earned!

When formulating a coaching staff, chemistry is as important as talent. You don’t have to be friends, but must have mutual respect and trust. In the rare times you get everyone on the same page, you have a great chance for success. Check your ego at the door and just do your job!

In June 2002 right after winning Super Bowl 36, I had a surgery gone bad and almost died. Most head coaches would have taken one look at me and moved on. Not Bill Belichick. He stuck with me personally and professionally. Great coach, great man. Patriots/NFL legend! Thank you BB!

I've always heard that things come in 3's. Pete Carroll, Nick Saban, Bill Belichick in 24 hours. 3 HOF coaches in 24 hours! Really?

Congrats to Michigan for their victory in last night’s championship game. Physicality still matters. Running the football still matters. Defense still matters. Two good teams, but one true champion.

For all those happy about upcoming firings and coaching changes in the NFL, take a second to think about all those lives that are disrupted. Wives, kids, houses to sell, schools to change, impending relocations, jobs to find! It’s not just the HFC you are sending packing. Awful!

As all NFL fans prepare for the final regular season games this weekend. one glaring thing stands alone in NFL history. That is the possibility that BIll Belichick may be coaching his final game as the Pats HFC. The GOAT! Hopefully not! Pats fans should show love just in case

Congratulating a team that defeats you means nothing if it is followed by excuses for losing like moving parts and/or officiating! Any coach who is a decision maker is best to first point the finger at themselves!

Congrats to the Ole Miss Rebels for their dominant will over Penn State. Surprised that Coach Franklin chose not to give Ole Miss credit, but chose to blame the loss on “too many moving parts!”

5 conference Champs for 4 spots. Someone was going to be left out. FSU unfortunately lost a great QB to injury and that was the difference. 2 biggest winners were Bama moving from 8 to 4 and Ole Miss getting in NY 6 game rather than a lower ranked Louisville team.

As this Patriot season bottoms out, let me state this fact . There is 100% certainty that in the not to distant future, Tommy Brady, Bill Belichick, and Robert Kraft will all be inducted in the NFL Hall of Fame. They spearheaded unparalled sucess. Treat them that way!

If a head coach in the NFL is traded, does the Rooney Rule not apply?

If I had a vote for the Heisman winner this year, I would vote Jayden Daniels #1 of all the top QB's. I still would vote Marvin Harrison JR as my choice. Several great options. I would factor in competition and stats accrued in blowouts. Keep an eye on Jaxson Dart at Ole Miss.
