Wouldn’t it be nice if ‘conservative’ diocesans appointed ‘liberal’ suffragans. Instead, ‘conservative’ dioceses become fortresses, and ‘liberal’ diocesans appoint ‘conservatives’ to make the cons feel loved and wanted. We need to wake up.

If you want your own special bishops who either have no female genitalia or who won’t ordain/license/bless gays, then you should opt out of choosing bishops for those for whom genitals and homosexuality pose no issue. Not to do so is a clear abuse of power.
