Lockdown restrictions may be easing but social distancing remains important. #RespectYourVet and protect yourself by staying two metres apart when accessing veterinary care for your animals

Vets often see first-hand the distressing results of these kinds of attacks. To anyone planning to spend time in the countryside, remember to follow the #CountrysideCode and keep dogs on a lead around farm animals such as ewes and lambs. #LeadOn fwi.co.uk/news/crime/dog…

#DidYouKnow Guinea pigs and rabbits are very sensitive to extreme temperatures. With the days ahead looking set to be sizzling hot, prepare now to make sure their hutch or run is shaded from the sun and they have access to plenty of fresh drinking water. #PetAdvice

Look what happened when we stopped mowing some patches of lawn by our equine treatment rooms. We hope that over time the area will develop and we look forward to seeing what will pop up next!

Heat-related illnesses, like sunstroke and overheating, can be fatal so it is so important you think carefully before taking your dogs on a walk in hot weather and never leave your dog in a car. bva.co.uk/news-and-blog/…

Are your fields parched, brown and crispy?! The dry weather has taken it's toll on grazing paddocks. Beware for any lurking ragwort. It is usually (but not always) when grazing is sparse that horses turn to the bitter tasting ragwort. #equine #horsevet

With the increased risk of #Birdflu to #Poultry & captive birds, it's important to monitor their health. If you spot signs of #Avianflu, contact your vet immediately. It is a legal requirement to report it to us if you are in Great Britain. gov.uk/guidance/avian… NFU Poultry

Although birds are allowed outside, unless you are in a Protection or Captive Bird (Monitoring) Controlled Zone, they should be in a fenced off area with their food & water undercover away from wild birds. The Avian Influenza Prevention Zone is still in place. #birdflu
