Thought for the day: Ensure units of learning are open and conceptually focussed. We want to invite inquiry so students can follow their own interests. If units are content focused, we limit possibilities for connections across the curriculum and for student interest.

Ok, I know I’m slightly biased but our kids are the best! Grade 5, first unit, amazing Expo, even better conversations…completely blown away! I can’t wait for exhibition next year BCIS #ibpyp #ourstudentsrock

A great conversation, and could not agree more with the comments about teacher agency being a great model for developing agency in our students #pypchat #agencyforall

I love learning! Nothing ever stays the same and we should always be open to new ways of thinking, been on some reaffirming and enlightening PD in the last couple of weeks. Thank you @kjinquiry and Natashya Hayes from Erin Kent Consulting

Great discussions and feedback sessions with all BCIS staff based on the Council of International Schools Barry Groves, WASC President International Baccalaureate standards during our #selfstudy year. Thank you Mentimeter for collecting the feedback and making our celebrations and challenges transparent to all

Educational leaders…what is something that you have used in leadership that came as a surprise? Mine: my office chocolate bowl 🍫

They won't always answer questions in class, but they're definitely keeping track of how many times you've worn that green shirt.

A very tricky question for the first week back. It’s easy to see what is present but when faced with the question about what is missing, now that’s hard to come up with! Kudos to the team UEF who faced this question on day 1 of school year 24/25, jet lag and all!
