A new collaborative study by EMBL & EPFL scientists shows the way animals do cell division may have evolved long before animals did. The study suggests different modes of mitosis may be linked to different life cycles in certain marine protists. embl.org/news/science-t…

TREC expedition formed a special community to study coastal ecosystems and their response to environment. The TREC symposium reunited this community, sharing the first insights and discussing the next directions of this project. What a memory to add to our photo album! 💚

It’s a wrap: TREC Symposium 2024 came to an end. TREC members joined together, presented and discussed data that came along with the TREC expedition. The voyage continues now in scientists’ laboratories and we are very much looking forward to knowing what discoveries will come!
