Protecting Counter, Part 3: QB Counter. This is probably the most obvious and simple way to protect counter. Especially if LB's are looking at back more then reading guards. Against an odd front, I'd have RB "Split Flow" to keep backside 4 or 4i from chasing it down.

Briles Spread Offense - Dart & Dart Kick 🧵 - One of the top run schemes from this system. - Extremely versatile. Can run from 10P or 11P w/ multiple tags. - Versus 4-2 fronts the QB is responsible for the back side DE. Versus 4-1 fronts QB can read second level defender. -

“And we will call a first-level defender on the inside shade of a guard a 2i, and a first-level defender on the inside shade of a tackle a 4i, by God.” “And then will we call someone on the inside shade of a tight end a 6i, Sir?” “We won’t.”

Baylor didn't run a ton of Outside zone in 2015. But when they did, it was often against an Odd-Tite Front. The 4i DE by default usually takes away and disrupts B-Gap. This makes the OT job easy to combo to 2nd level. Sniffer kicks Walk Up, hitting inside of kick by sniffer.
