Our support to the 2⃣5⃣ beneficiaries of the CinemArena grant continuous. We are on a 5-day entrepreneurship training for the grantees at Sindola, Kanilai. Facilitated by NEDI-Gambia, the training seeks to hone their skills to sustainably manage their business initiatives.

IOM, Ministry of Interior, The Gambia, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare and stakeholders held a sustainability and plan of action workshop on the findings of the impact of migration on families left behind (FLB). Participants validated the plan of action and discussed on the way forward—including improved protection of FLB.

With Karl-Frédérick Paul, United Nations The Gambia's RC and our senior management, she met the P.S. 1, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Lang Yabou. They discussed strengthening collaboration on migration governance, labour migration, return & reintegration and addressing irregular migration.

Our May-July Departure Area Monitoring Tool recorded 2141 departures from the coast of The Gambia to Mauritania or Canary Islands. With male 1954, female 123 and children 64, the report registered 9% increase compare to the March-April report. For more: bit.ly/3UhlytA
