French Exchange: Thanks to students and DCGS French for a great trip to Marseille. We welcomed our German Exchange students and colleagues from Bensheim to DCGS yesterday so it's all go for DCGS Languages this week!

Today we welcomed back alumni Tommy, Ed & James who recently cycled the length of Norway (3,100km) to raise money for the Tom Love Trust. They spoke to the 6th Form about their adventure & relayed strong & inspirational messages about adaptability & resilience. David Atkinson

The day finished with the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate. Mr Buchanan recited the Exhortation, and our wreath layers Michael, Jack, and Harry did brilliantly.

Battlefields visit have had a fantastic day exploring the Ypres Salient, visiting (amongst others), Passchendaele Museum, Essex Farm, Langemark, Hill 60, Tyne Cot, the UEFA memorial, and the Menin Gate.

Throughout the day, we've reflected on the futility of war, the enormity of the sacrifice, and also sought to place the events in the Salient in a wider context.

Another excellent performance from the 1st XI Football team to win the Bucks Cup for the 4th year in a row. Goals from Tom Windmill, Reece Emanuel, Harry Ashwood, Hari Sohi (2) & Luca Ward. 🏆 ⚽️

A fantastic performance from the Year 10 Football team. Winning the County Cup 4-1. A hat-trick for James Cameron and a penalty from Seb Shaw.

Congratulations to the Year 9 Football team on winning the Bucks Cup on penalties against Walton High School. MOM Ethan Andrews scored the DCGS goal in a 1-1 draw before Mace Osei-Kwabena saved 3 penalties in the shoot out.

We took 2 delegations to the inaugural DCHS MUN Conference. We had a number of students give speeches, make proposals and submit resolutions. Congratulations to our triumphant French delegation who took home best overall delegation and best individual delegate awards!

Year 12 RS students participated in a philosophy study day at the University of Cambridge and then enjoyed punting on the river Cam.
