So happy about the new Edit History feature on Datawrapper. 😀 At the end of the semester, I ask my data viz students to present on how their charts have changed. But many forget to duplicate their earlier versions. This will make it so much easier for them!

Still parsing details but this is pretty big:

✅Multi-family housing almost everywhere
✅Rules (height/setbacks) to stop cities from nerfing
✅Axe parking mins near transit
✅Require prezoning for 20 years of housing need
✅Stop redundant public hearings for OCP-aligned projects

Exciting to see modelling work I did together with Nathanael Lauster - @Lausterna on Bsky & Mstdn, Tom Davidoff, Tsur Somerville, Albert Huang - 黃忠堅 and others inform policy here in BC. This opens up BC to more housing in more places and helps people find housing and form families more freely. news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2023P…

Was introducing my high school kid to some basic sorting/filtering in Excel. He’s got a Chromebook and Microsoft 365 so we used the Excel web app. Not impressed. Filtering a 75k row dataset produced several results that were just plain wrong and missing relevant rows. 😬
