As far as I can tell, generative AI doesn’t actually *understand* anything. It doesn’t visualize a real 3D world while generating outputs, and in this thread, it seems like it only has a vague understanding of prepositions.

Hey, check out this new Twitter ad format: No username! Just a profile pic, which is the same as the ad. I didn’t think it was possible, but they’ve managed to make Twitter ads look even sketchier.

Also no “Ad” in the upper corner, it’s back to the old “Promoted” on the bottom.

Pretty sure the ever-worsening Twitter algorithm is partly responsible. The For You and Trending tabs are loaded with the highest-engagement hashtags, a.k.a. highest-conflict. So solo stan slapfighting and other idiocy gets promoted to all Twitter ARMYs as “Trending in BTS”

Random thought: The first use of a transformation clip in a magical girl show often ends with the character incongruously flipping from a smiling, confident pose to confusion and alarm. Shouldn’t it be easy to edit some baffled facial expressions into that first run?
