Big congratulations to Taylor Johnson (trumpet) and Kristen Engelhardt (trombone) for their wonderful performances with the 4A Iowa All-State Jazz Band this week! This was Taylor’s 2nd year, and Kristen’s third year.

Congrats to Kate Galyen and Kristen Engelhardt on performing with the North Corridor All-Star Jazz Combo on Saturday at the Iowa City Jazz Festival. Their septet had other students from LinnMar, Kennedy, and CPU.

Urgent: for uniform checkout today, all students should use the West doors to the school. Take the “Pat Mitchell Way” roundabout, and park in staff parking lot. The west entrance is pictured below. All other doors to the school are locked. Thanks!

It was a fun day at the HS stadium yesterday with our sophomores and section leaders. What a treat to march on such a beautiful new field at our own school!!! #TigerPride

Band camp day 2 is underway! The sounds of the fall show, as well as the school fight song are echoing through the new spaces! #TigerPride

When it rained this afternoon, we were able to open the wall in the new band room and continue full rehearsal with the guard, pit, battery, and winds all in the same space. That was a lot of fun! #TigerPride

It’s really great to set drill for marching band in the new stadium. The press box is clean and modern, the windows are high up with a great view of the band, and the field is beautiful. I love our outdoor classroom space!
