Having just returned from a 4 week driving holiday, delayed by 3 years, through Italy, France and Belgium, I come home with 3 major points ever present in my brain. 1) I am so glad that Aussie’s have discouraged and banned smoking in most public areas.

It really felt like we were living back in the 70’s, with so many meals and quiet drinks on a balcony affected by the ever present cigarette smoke!. They do not care about where their smoke goes and will even blow it in your face.

Dawn had to restrain me numerous times!, so much so, that we did leave venues without finishing our drinks/meals. 2) Can we bring some Italian and French motorway builders over here to teach our guys how to build a decent road! Round-abouts and tunnels everywhere, just brilliant!
