2nd nosing and there are definitely more rum influenced characters. More tropical fruits, demerara sugar and some light spiciness. #clancolla7yearold

Palate, 1st taste: Deliciously sweet. Lots of honey, sweet lime juice, canteloup melon, vanilla, butter and tropical fruits. Easy going but very tasty! #clancolla7yearold

Going for a second taste now.. #ClanColla7YearOld

2nd taste: Juicy, refined and polished. The rum cask character is adding some sweet tropical fruits, flambéed bananas, fudge and sweet vanilla. #ClanColla7YearOld

..and the finish? Surprisingly long for me. Some dryer spice notes, a touch of oak and tannin but the fruit still persists. Lovely stuff. #ClanColla7YearOld

Lovely whiskey, and one of the best single grains out there. The rum cask is an ideal enhancement. Some good stuff coming from Ahascragh Distillery and a great new distillery nearly up and running too! #ClanColla7YearOld
