I thought Venables might for it after running it on third down. The Horns dodge one on Tyler Keltner's missed field goal.

Horns flagged for a personal foul. Jelani McDonald has to be smarter there. He came in late. Sooners take over at the 49.

Quinn Ewers and Isaiah Bond connect for a five-yarder to end the quarter. It's only five yards but it's important bc the Horns are scarier when No. 7 is involved.

The Horns are more vertical with Arch Manning in there but Quinn Ewers and tight end Gunnar Helm have great symmetry . They just hooked for a seven-yard TD and Texas' first lead.

I'm guessing Quintrevion Wisner will buy Silas Bolden a cream cone sometime this week. Horns are up 14-3 thanks to Silas' sure hands on that fumble recovery.

Derrick Williams Jr. caused the fumble then snagged it. Horns can add to this lead with 1:32 remaining in the half with two timeouts.

Bert Auburn missed not once, but twice. Not used to seeing him. New holder Ian Ratliff was fine with the hold on both tries.

The Texas run game and defense have owned the day. Horns are comfortably ahead on a day when Quinn Ewers has been serviceable but not great.
