Want to be a better player? Be a better competitor and you'll become a better player. Becoming a better competitor starts by taking practice personally and trying to outwork everyone in the dadgum country.

Every year the MLB proves us right once again ! You can't out smart the game. You can't launch angle your way to a win, you can not walk lots of hitters and win, you can't run the bases bad and win, every fundamental in the game shows up in the playoffs and you can bet the team

It’s when we struggle, that we have a tremendous opportunity to develop leadership and earn respect from your teammates and coaches. How? Because it’s easy to be “the team guy” and “the energy guy” when you are having personal success. But being “that same guy” when you are

Derek Jeter asked Bruce Bochy after a World Series Championship. “How come everybody that comes up here doesn’t talk about themselves? All they care about is the team and all they want is to win for their team? How is that?” Bochy: that’s how you win.

A Great Player's Mindset: 1. Every practice is a chance to improve 2. Every game is an opportunity to shine 3. Every setback is a lesson learned 4. Every win is a team effort 5. Every loss is motivation to come back stronger

The difference for most HS hitters between batting .250 vs .300 is just 4 hits. Losing your cool after your 1st or 2nd AB, is weaksauce. Turn the 0-for-2 into a 1-3, or the 0-3 into a 1-4 just 4 times & completely change your season. Ex. 80 AB/20 H = .250 80 AB/24 H = .300
