Song scrolls "Auspicious Omens for Dynastic Revival/中兴瑞应图" (1171–1174 )by XiaoZhao(萧照). The armor is called today as "iron Pagoda/鐵浮屠" . The horsemen were completely armored from head to toes in heavy lamellar armor- with only their eyes and hands exposed.
