I don't even know how to react to this. Genuinely, I am appalled and in tears as I write this. Society for Personality and Social Psychology
I am SO excited to share that our new paper "Men in Feminism: A Self-Determination Approach and Goals for the Future" was just accepted for publication at Psychology of Men and Masculinities. Fun, inspiring process with Charlotte Moser, PhD and Shaun Wiley (he/him/his) -- can't wait to share with you all!
I defended my dissertation 12 years ago TODAY, so it feels fitting to share about my recently published paper at Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (JPSP) with my forever collaBAErator Evava (Eva) S. Pietri Available at: dx.doi.org/10.1037/pspi00… 1/n
Please feel free to reach out to me or Ben T. Blankenship, Ph.D. with any questions!
This paper started as a conversation in front of a poster Society for Personality and Social Psychology in Atlanta. It’s thrilling to get it out there. Thanks to Jaclyn A. Siegel, PhD and Evava (Eva) S. Pietri for helpful feedback on the original draft. 7/8
And thanks to Dr. Kathleen Bogart 🦓 and the incredible anonymous reviewers at PSPR. This manuscript is SO much better as a result of your thoughtful feedback. 8/end
So happy to share that Shaun Wiley (he/him/his) and my manuscript examining how disadvantaged group members discern who is a sincere ally was accepted at PSPR! I love this paper and hope you will, too!
Thrilled to share that this paper is out now! I'm so proud of it and loved getting to work with the amazing Jaclyn A. Siegel, PhD and Shaun Wiley (he/him/his)
Allyship isn't just talk! Charlotte Moser, PhD found that the motivations and behaviour of men who claim to be allies were both important to whether they were evaluated to be sincere by women. Only sincere allies were effective in signaling identity safety.
