Over 7 months on from the promise of an independent audit on standard TB testing cartridges from Danaher Corporation Cepheid, to ensure they are making no profit on those tests in LMICs, and it has yet to materialise. A questionable absence of promised transparency.

Yup. This will be a great revelation, when it appears. It was promised in Sept 23 when Danaher Corporation reduced price of 1 cartridge by 20%. All cartridges remain at >$5 even in low-income countries. There is still no transparency around cost or pricing. #Timefor5

Cost for each cartridge was estimated to be $3-4 when sales volumes were a small fraction of what they r today. So, cost is even lower today. Selling for $5 would generate huge profits. Danaher Corporation still price-gouges while celebrating the growing market share. #Shame
