Our lieutenants and non-sworn lieutenant equivalents visited the Virginia Sheriffs’ Association office in Richmond this morning regarding leadership. Thank you, Executive Director John W. Jones and your staff for having us and giving us a good idea of what goes on in the VSA.

One year ago today, the Chesterfield County Jail received a surprise visit from Jelly Roll. He visited the HARP program dormitories to hear their personal stories that included various songs being played and sung not only by Jelly Roll but by our participants as well.

It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of one of our retirees, Mr. Arthur Bishop. Arthur served as a police officer with the Chesterfield County PD and then with our office as a deputy. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and words of wisdom.
