As #ENGvIND begins, one name is sadly missing. My tribute to #ViratKohli in County Cricket Matters 👇- a mesmerising, polarising #cricket hero who thrived in the whites of #TestCricket & gave the subcontinent its most luminous star. Thanks Annie Chave #bbccricket It's Just N̶o̶t̶ Cricket

Steve said it was all about showing the competitions the respect & love they deserve. They don't spend huge sums of money marketing but it has been a relentless focus to promote the format eg Red Ball Festival, using a lot of inspirational content to promote the players & the

Appreciate the focus will be on the Test match for the next few weeks but here's an article on the fans' views of the schedule changes that answers many of the questions you asked in the podcast Jonathan Norman x.com/LancsCCMG/stat…

The Professional Game Committee meets tomorrow to review county feedback on the 5 options to amend the schedule. Here's a summary of what the 15 member owned counties have said to their members. docs.google.com/document/d/1hv… 12 counties need to agree for a change to be recommended.

Lancashire are only offering their members the opportunity to rank three options for the county championship, all involving a reduction to 12 games. Members have no option to reject that change. It is not a meaningful vote. cricket.lancashirecricket.co.uk/news/2025-news…

Lots of marketing people are starting to notice that THE YOUTH are really getting into books and classical music. Turns out it's not all about fireworks and short attention spans, but stuff that's slow-paced and high quality. WHO KNEW? #CountyCricketDay

Taunton. Sold out 6500. Family day. Lots of activities York CC. Sold out 4500. Huge temporary stand behind the arm. Liverpool. Sold out. No temporary stand. 2000- 2500 capacity, bring a chair. County cricket is treated as a chore not a core activity. It's time for a change.

Tomorrow, county chairs meet to discuss some 13 match options for the County Championship in a 12/6 division split with the top 12 split into 2 conferences. If agreed then 2 more one day cup games to be scheduled. Which do you prefer for the CC/ODC games? RT for more votes.

Is it better to play in the first or second semi at finals day? Well, of the 22 Blast finals so far, 14 were won by the side that won the second semi-final (63%) Also, the last 6 were won by the winner of the second semi-final

It is misleading how Thompson segues from creaking bodies at the end of the India Tests into the shrinking of the Blast and possibly the CC England Test players hardly play in the CC or Blast and the ECB have the power to rest them from matches in those competitions anyway! 1/5
