Our morning is off to a great start! Virginia Jansen spoke on Florence Price’s reflection of Spirituals in her counterpoint pieces, Laura Farré Rozada spoke on a new method for memorization of post-tonal piano music, and Jake Ludwig spoke on The Slee Professorship in Music.

Next up: Andrea Tinajero Perez on Natalia Lafourcade’s use of the Huapango and Cumbia as musical topics and Chieh Huang on the interlacing of Atayal language and heritage into contemporary composition. Thanks to you both!
