Graded out really well as a pass-blocker last year according to PFF (84.3), with struggles as a run-blocker (56.7). Played 515 snaps last year for the Cardinals, all at right guard. Played mostly guard the previous year but did have 25 snaps at center.

The PFF pass-blocking grade for Austin Collins last year was the second-best in the entire ACC for guards with substantial playing time. Only UNC's Willie Lampkin was better. Run-blocking was toward the bottom.

Would be interested to know how many transferred down in order to play, and how many were told their services were no longer required.
