Congrats to Amy Reichel, who received a local Faculty of the Year award for CCA sponsored by Flooded Screen Prints & School Spirit Central. Members of the Lee County community voted for the honorees from various schools. She just finished her 1st year as a school receptionist.

The campus is quiet, but we’ve got lots of summer improvements going on this week like buses being cleaned inside and outside, floors waxed, a splash guard added in the lunch area, and stairwell handrails being repainted.

Congrats, NCHSAA honorees! Jean-Marie Murry won a “Heart of a Champion Award” for exceptional sportsmanship, leadership & community service. Coach Kevin Spivey is a “Eight Who Make a Difference Award” recipient for sportsmanship, leadership, & integrity in coaching.

Big congrats to CCA’s Helen Mistler & Thailik McCormick for being honored at the Lee County Teen Court banquet! Helen served as a defense attorney & Thailik on the prosecution team in this powerful youth diversion program.

CCA’s Tanner Reichel & Savannah Pressley-Wicker took part in the Young Commissioners 4-H Club this summer, building skills in leadership, public speaking, teamwork & more! Savannah’s in her 3rd year, Tanner’s 1st. Future leaders in action!

CCA’s Luke Rhodes is swinging into summer success! 3rd place in his 1st solo tourney with Tarheel Youth Golf 1st in chipping, putting & overall at Drive, Chip & Putt at Methodist U Next stop: Duke, then hopefully Pinehurst & Augusta!

CCA Summer Student Spotlight Jackson Dietrich is a Junior Interpreter Intern at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences! He’s leading hands-on science experiences, growing his communication skills & inspiring curiosity.
