1/17-1/23: CBP officers at the Nogales POE seized approx 456,170 fentanyl pills, 112 lbs meth, and 2.6 lbs cocaine in 3 separate events. Concealment methods included gas tank, doors, and panels. Great work by Team Nogales keeping these dangerous narcotics from reaching US cities!

On January 25th, CBP officers at the Nogales POE seized 25 pounds of bulk fentanyl powder and approximately 264,099 fentanyl pills concealed in the gas tank of a vehicle. The same day, officers seized 86 pounds of meth hidden in the spare tire of a car. Good work by the team.

Huge weapons cache! On Feb. 17, CBP officers working outbound operations at the Nogales POE stopped a cargo truck prior to entering MX and discovered 42 AK47 rifles. These powerful weapons were likely headed to the cartels to protect their illicit fentanyl labs. Excellent work!

2/8: CBP officers at the Nogales POE seized approx. 439,636 fentanyl pills, 58.6 lbs bulk fentanyl powder, 20 lbs cocaine and 23 lbs meth, all concealed in grocery items. Another great catch by the team!

4/10/2025 - Two narcotics seizures in one day!

Last week our Officers seized app. 96 lbs. of Meth., over 5 lbs. of cocaine, app. 5 lbs. of Fentanyl powder, and app. 5 lbs. of Heroin. Concealment methods included floor tiles, quarter panels, taped to a body, and within a compartment under the toilet of a bus.

4-22-2025 – Our officers found approximately 2.5 lbs. of Heroin concealed between the layers of the bottom of a cardboard box full of candy. In a second inspection, officers discovered almost 65 lbs. of Methamphetamine concealed in the quarter panels and gas tank of a vehicle.

Catch of the Day: Officer intuition led to this seizure of over 54,000 Fentanyl pills, app. 68 lbs. of Methamphetamine, and almost 13 lbs. of Cocaine.

Over the weekend: More than 75 lbs. of Methamphetamine were found concealed in the gas tank and quarter panels of a vehicle. AR-15 parts and 200 rounds of ammunition were hidden on body carriers going to Mexico.

Two high-powered assault rifles, including a .50-CAL, seized yesterday evening by CBP officers before entering into Mexico.

Last week Nogales Officers intercepted over 103,000 Fentanyl Pills, approx. 260 lbs. of Methamphetamine, and almost 16 lbs. of cocaine in multiple enforcement actions.

May 6 - the Nogales Port of Entry seized over 660,000 Fentanyl pills from a vehicle coming inbound and 95 firearms magazines in a vehicle going outbound.

Recent Interdictions - (8)-High capacity AK-47 Magazines and over $40,000 were stopped from entering Mexico. App. 14 lbs. of Cocaine and over 48 lbs. of Methamphetamine packages were hidden in a radiator, spare tire, and quarter panels of two cars coming into the US.

Last night Nogales officers seized over 549,000 Fentanyl pills concealed within DJ equipment in a passenger vehicle.

On May 24th, Nogales CBP Officers seized over 211 lbs. of Methamphetamine during a smuggling interdiction.

Wednesday's seizure of approximately 59 lbs. of methamphetamine in Nogales highlights the continued efforts of CBP to secure our borders.

Nogales Cargo Officers uncovered over 375 lbs. of Methamphetamine hidden inside corn husks, disguised as ears of Corn.

3 drug seizures in 1 week. In multiple seizures since May 14, Nogales has seized 1,119,000+ Fentanyl Pills, 1+ lb. of Fentanyl powder, 1,059+ lbs. Methamphetamine, and 63+ lbs. Cocaine.

On June 16th, officers at the Nogales Port of Entry discovered almost 92 lbs. of Methamphetamine concealed in the gas tank and body of a vehicle.
