I generally agree with the governor and do so in principle here, but this statement sounds like someone who's never sat in a municipal budget hearing. Losing many $100ks of revenue will require ⬆ property taxes or ⬇️ services. The ⬆ LGDF payout has already been baked in.

An example of an issue that's happening everywhere with little fanfare. EMS is exceedingly expensive to run and can't charge enough because most calls are only reimbursed at a fraction of the cost. The ability to collect on the remainder is nonexistent.

Trying to crowd-source this: What Illinois home rule referenda are on the ballot on Tuesday? I have Cary, Richton Park, and Roselle. Surely, there are more, particularly down south.
