Interlopers in time out behind the swan barrier. Horrific territory battle here at the weekend and interloper nearly killed papa swan. I put a thread on 🦋 because this (X) is no longer where I feel I want to be.

The Royal Parks disappointing that I can just see everything being chipped again rather than left on site.

Hopefully they will remove all debris including large bits of trunk that are in the river so they don’t all start to root The Royal Parks because you always claim these works are partially to stop debris falling in the river.

Last time my offspring actually removed some of the debris that was left behind 👇🏻. The Royal Parks this time it looks like there are some bits of trunk in the river.

Briefly. Mrs Newbie stopped at eight eggs and has been incubating diligently. Swan eggs hatch 35-41 days after the last eggs was laid. I’m rarely on Twitter and post mainly on insta also on 🦋

The apple blossom is about to pop here in S W London due to all the sunshine we have had.

Cross everything people, I’ve applied to adopt another Animal Rescue & Care boy - a little kitten. 🤞🏻Pic of the adorable Bert our original ARC boy that we adopted in 2013. I expect many of you have missed seeing him here (he’s still going strong, I just don’t post much here.)

Egg hatching due soon. Mrs Newbie turning the eggs today.

It’s hatching day! As of 1pm we have 6/8 hatched. Another egg well cracked and the final one I haven’t had a good look at.

Normally the cygnets would be hidden away under her wings for most of the first 24 hours, but I guess it’s quite warm under there today as air temp is 23.

I won’t be posting here generally so you’ll have to find me on 🦋 or insta stories for 🦢 updates.

Come on Richmond Council Help these are STILL obstructing the pavement in Belgrade Road TW12 after your contractors did works. A huge hazard for partially sighted / blind residents.
