I finally got to meet one of my favorite people at AuthorCon this weekend!! Shawn Burgess I hope those books we knocked down recovered!

And that's a wrap for AuthorCon! I sold 38 books and even SOLD OUT of 3 titles! Thank you to all the readers who took a chance on me this weekend!

Practiced my reading for my twisted nursery rhymes into the night because I was so nervous, but no one showed up. At least the acoustics were cool and none of the chairs complained!

Some days are really hard as an author. We're told to take breaks from social media so we don't get burned out but if we don't post about our books on all the sites every single day, our sales & page reads plummet & barely get above $0. Then we have to work extra to compensate 😭

There's nothing more exciting and utterly terrifying than sharing a new book with the world 🖤

Woke up with a 100.3 fever this morning after struggling with insomnia for the past few days. Got a chapter written last night though so at least I don't feel guilty taking the day off.

Waiting to get off the plane and trying to decide which one of my grisly twisted nursery rhymes to read for the 'Gross Out Contest' at AuthorCon next month...

Enjoying the rainy atmosphere of the pacific northwest while I write and the harbor seals bark. Is this real life? ❤️
