Yuri Knorozov, the linguist who deciphered the Maya script, listed his cat Asya as a co-author on his work but the editors always removed her. He always used this photo with Asya as his author photo and got pissed whenever editors cropped her out

While my colleague is happy to share a workspace with me, she's *not* prepared to tolerate me trying to get any actual work done!... πŸ™‚πŸ™ƒπŸ± #AcademicsWithCats

I spent the last few hours drafting a newspaper article that includes some of my recent research. I printed it to read and revise. My cat, Lyra, volunteered her help--but this is an expression no one likes to see on an editor's face #academicswithcats #journalism #writerslife

Incredible, congratulations! One nice thing about fostering is that it can be as large or small a commitment as works for your schedule. I’ve fostered intermittently over the past 10 years when I’ve had more time, and pulled back when I get busier. Perfect for academics!

Please share and participate (if relevant) in my sisters survey which is about cat behavior. She’s a third year Zoology student and keen to hear more about your lovely cats. There’s also chance to send a video at the end of your little fur baby. forms.gle/F2e3ist81LBBCS…
