Want to know what makes this REALLY insane? David Geier, the man the Trump administration tapped to "study" whether vaccines cause autism, was punished along with his father for a bizarre and horrific experiment on autistic kids they called the "Lupron protocol."

What is the Lupron protocol, you ask? Well, the Geiers had a crackpot idea that autism is an endocrine disease, caused by reactions between mercury and testosterone. So they injected kids with megadoses of Lupron, the drug used in small doses as puberty blockers for trans kids!

So let's see if I have this straight. The Trump administration demonizes doctors who, in clinical settings, give small doses of hormone-blocking drugs to trans kids, but a guy who pumped autistic kids full of this drug on a whim with no MD license? He's their go-to guy!
