Important discussion with President Abbas on the urgent need to end the suffering in Gaza, with an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages and an unrestricted flow of aid. The Palestinian Authority & its reform agenda are vital to peace and a two state solution.

The UK condemns Israel’s strikes on Doha, which are a flagrant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, and risk setting back negotiations for a ceasefire, which is the only way to achieve lasting peace. Further escalation in the Middle East must be avoided.
