Trans people are not an ideology. They are not a problem that needs to be solved. They are human beings. They are our friends, family and colleagues and they deserve to live their lives with dignity, respect and free from discrimination.

This is awful, as well as dehumanising, and demeaning for all. Trans women are women. Trans rights are human rights.

There’s really only ever been one “trans debate” I’ve thought was worth having. And it’s been done, here on French TV. So we can all move on with our lives now please, and leave trans folks in peace.

Trans people are people. It's as simple as that. We're proud to be one of several prominent LGBTQ+ orgs behind this statement.
