Great to reconnect with EU Commissioner Magnus Brunner in Brussels today. The EU-IOM partnership is key to effective migration governance and strengthening a routes-based approach. IOM is ready to support a comprehensive strategic approach to the movements of people.
Delighted to meet with EU Commissioner Dubravka Šuica today. We discussed developments in the Mediterranean region and the importance of working with partner countries along the routes to address irregular migration and find solutions for people on the move.
Thankful for the timely exchange with EU High Rep. Kaja Kallas on our strategic cooperation and priorities. The EU’s continued partnership with IOM will be key to promoting stability in priority countries and regions together with humanitarian response and transition.
