Lovely weather for a game of football today Great game, great result James Blackler made his long awaited return to football. We kept a clean sheet and scored some goals Great effort and attitude from Harwell Saints FC 👏 👏 The showers were hot and wet 🚿

The unbeaten league form continues. No losses in the league since Ivy beat us just after New Year. Great game played in beautiful sunshine 🌞

Last but certainly not least, the other Semi Final fixture from this season's Ridgeway Cup! It'll be Stadhampton Football Club pitted up against Didcot Casuals Sunday FC - Who's going to join The Ampleforth in the final? Best of luck to both teams!

Tough one to take today Had chances to put it to bed At least we get to attend the Upper Thames Valley Sunday League finals day and have some beers without having to play On the plus side, we finished second in Div One (barring a massive collapse from us in the remaining 3 games)

A quick update on Charlie's injury He broke his femur Went in for surgery today & it has been successful He's awake & back to being Lord Banter in the WhatsApp group Thank you to everyone for their well wishes & kind words, they have been passed onto him Get well soon big man

Big day of football on Sunday!!

We are currently looking to get a small group of volunteers involved in the running of our social media channels. It was a lot of work for 2 people last season (as highlighted by the fall off in activity recently) so we're keen to get a small team together

Pre-season commences next week. We're looking at recruiting a few players for the coming season, so if you fancy playing, have a good attitude and your ethics and morals match what we stand for as a club then drop us a line!

We're looking for an opponent for Sunday if anyone is free... preferably as close to Didcot as possible. Our pitch may be available but I'll need to wait for confirmation of this

Another tremendously fun morning of Sunday football consisting of chasing Saturday players around for 90 minutes

It's going to be a long season isn't it Like the days of old, we may get beaten every week but we'll still turn up

Can we all agree to class our whole season as one long "poor start to the season" if we play every game, lose them all and concede 427 goals in the process?

3 down. 27 to go! I think we have a real chance of silverware this season if we could just keep teams to single figures and keep Dean Aneke fit all season/stop him being poached by someone else

For 80 minutes there was only one team in it, then we put them on the back foot and scored with 10 minutes to go to setup a thrilling end to the game They then scored 30 seconds later to make it 13-1 and then again 2 mins later So close to getting our first point of the season

It's probably worth opening a conversation about the future/decline of Sunday football 60 clubs in Upper Thames Valley Sunday League when we started 15 years ago What can be done to increase the no of clubs thus healthy competition for all clubs? Interested what others think...

Say what you like about us, we're bottom of the league and we turn and lose most weeks... but at least we turn up
