Uncomfortable fact often ignored re GHG emissions in 🇨🇦. GHGs in Alberta have ⬆️ by 19 Mt (8.2%) since 2005, mainly b/c of oil & gas expansion. And AB is 2nd highest source of emissions. Beyond time for oil & gas to stop complaining & do its part - esp given record profits.

For over 20 years, Cascara has been focused on building its next generation 5GDHC. How much impact could we have made to reducing poverty and increasing efficiency if we had the “key holders” work with us? We are proud to say that the City of Guelph has decided to work with us.

Creating a circular utility is the only way! The City of Guelph has decided to enable Cascara to build a City wide 5GDHC system enabling high penetration of renewables and recycled heat.

And the population was only approximately 2 billion. How we have devastated “natural resources”. The whaling industry was “saved” by the switch to fossil fuels.

The facts have been there for over 100 years - for over 20 years Cascara has tied to establish a home to build the worlds most efficient energy utility. We are proud to call the City of Guelph our home. Thank you. #5GDHC

How long must we take to address issues?

Urban infill combined with a 5th generation district heating and cooling system would provide the greatest impact .

And power plants too.

Over 2/3rds of this energy is lost as waste heat. A circular energy utility would significantly reduce this.
