Thank you to all the parents who had kids before the pandemic who have made it acceptable for me (parent of kid born during pandemic) to say "no, sorry, I don't have childcare that day". You are the real MVPs.

What do you do when your paper has been sitting for a month "with the editor" and not yet sent out for review?

Struggling this week. Here is my thanks to those fighting the good fight & not just throwing tables upside down because the system is stupid. They just keep fighting & keep pushing & keep working. I am looking to those good people this week and trying my best to emulate them.

I often blame myself for taking on too much service, but then I try to say "no" and I say "no" again, and again, and again, and again and it falls on deaf ears, then I spend a ton of time being mad and then I end up doing it or feeling terrible that I didn't.

My favorite comment of the term: "I took GIS science without even knowing what GIS science was. To be honest when I first read it I saw the teachers name and thought it said Fish Science and figured that was cool."

This term has been really hard. Feeling super defeated by a system that I feel like I can't beat. I wish I could get tenure based on this comment, "This course taught me the most about GIS than any other course I have taken at UO so far." Thanks to my amazing students.
