6 years since my last visit to Nanjing University and it is still one of my favourite places to visit. A beautiful campus, great hospitality and interesting scientific discussions. We even managed to squeeze in time to see a greenhouse experiment 🤩🌱

Thankful to Nanjing Agricultural University for the opportunity to deliver an academic exchange seminar on emerging #contaminants in the #environment 🚜 It was great to catch up with Dr Guo and Dr Zhang following their time in Geography at Leeds as visiting academics

Thank you FLF Development Network for the opportunity to talk about our work highlighting the challenges of balancing caring responsibilities and #academic travel. Excited to also share initial findings from our Carers in STEMM survey with Laura Pallett 📊

Please share with potentially interested students-I am advertising a #PhD studying #earthworms and #drought. Full advert here: findaphd.com/phds/project/i… There is a webinar at 1400 UK time on Tues 3rd Dec. for interested applicants. Register via this form docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

Great time so far in Zurich so far representing contaminant, soil and water research underway water@leeds and Geography at Leeds. Loving the fact that to get to one of my meetings I had to go through agricultural fields and an allotment 🥾🌾 Thanks Google maps 😂

Earlier this year, I received news that fake peer reviews were allegedly being submitted impersonating me and approximately six others I shared my story with Science Magazine to, hopefully, reduce the chance of this kind of breach happening again science.org/content/articl…

Fabulous to see Geography at Leeds researcher Andrea Garduño Jiménez present findings from her White Rose University Consortium funded project integrating social science perspectives into chemical monitoring at the recent British Society of Soil Science conference - complete with baby in sling👶 Carers in STEMM

This year for our Geography at Leeds research group end of year Christmas celebration we did something a little different and went on a 6.4 mile hike! 🥾 we enjoyed chocolate treats, spontaneous wildlife spotting 🪶 and learnt how to spot new types of fungi 🍄 what a fabulous team 🤩

Great news to come back to after the Christmas break🤩Our Plants People Planet 🌱👥🌐 paper in collaboration with the Field Lab Prof. Katie Field has been cited in an Environment Agency report on #AMR in England Manuscript found here 👉 nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…

Delighted to share Geography at Leeds PhD student Di Wu's paper has been published. Our results highlight gender-specific toxicity of polystyrene #microplastics to zebrafish health- female zebrafish are more affected than males 🐟 Check it out here 👇 sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Joseph Holden
