Mr. Bob Heimer was officially named head coach of the varsity volleyball program tonight. He brings many years of experience to Carrollton. A meeting will be held soon to introduce Coach Heimer and to lay out summer plans.

There will be a meeting for high school volleyball players at the grade school on Tue, June 4 at 6:00 pm to introduce Coach Heimer. Summer plans will be distributed at that time. There will also be information coming out soon about Hawks volleyball camp from July 15-19.

As a team, Carrollton finished 17th out of 34 teams in the trap shooting state tournament. Brady Cox ended up in 2nd place in the tournament with a 99 out of 100. Congratulations to everyone on another successful trap season!

Gibault lost 14-5 to Ottawa Marquette in the IHSA Class 1A state championship. That means it’s the third year in a row Carrollton has lost to the eventual state runner-up in the sectionals and fourth in five years.

Reminder that parents and athletes may meet our new varsity volleyball coach tomorrow at 6 pm at CGS. Girls who are going to play at the Waverly basketball league may come early to meet Coach Heimer and to receive an information packet. We will be at CGS well before 6:00.

For the third year in a row Nathan Walker Nathan Walker of the Carrollton Athletics is named to the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 1A All-State Team. Incredible career. He’s also been invited to play in the ICA/Michael Collins All-Star Game in June 29.

Congrats to the Hawks on their 7 on 7 win at Dupo yesterday. Football season will be here before we know it!

The all state board is updated and will be kept in safe keeping while construction continues at the high school. Also, the 2019 stickers are in for the gym banners and the custodians will get those up sometime in July. Summer activities are going strong! Lots to be proud of.

There is still time to sign up for volleyball camp. Not sure if you can make it? They will take registrations the day of camp as well.
